Male infertility, concierge services for local authorities, identifying breaks in human bones, predictive maintenance for car repair shops and foretelling retail trends were just some of the diverse solutions to industry challenges proposed by the new cohort of startups joining Data Pitch on Thursday, 1 February.
The 18 successful companies from across Europe made their first appearance at the Data Pitch Kick Off event in London where they pitched their ideas for the first time to an audience of partners and stakeholders.
Elena Simperl, Professor at University of Southampton and Data Pitch project Director said:
“We’re creating an innovation ecosystem for Europe, where larger organisations work closely with agile startups to innovate and learn from each other, using data as an enabler to solve problems.
